WHAT WE'VE ACCOMPLISHED AND WHAT'S TO COME
Lincoln Park Police Department
We were able to fundraise enough to provide all the LPPD vehicles with Sensory Sacks for emergencies that would benefit from having items to reduce stress. Not only for special needs children or adults but also those suffering and needing assistance using redirection.
We would like to be able to provide such sacks to all emergency vehicles and staff not only to the EMS and Fire in town but also surrounding areas.
In the future seeking funding for this project.
Chuck E Cheese
Upon learning that Sensory Sunday's at the Wayne, NJ location had been terminated we took immediate action to have them reinstated. This information was brought to customer service and they neglected to rectfy the situation. After the story was told of what took place the day of cancelation we were able to bring this to the regional level. Not only were the Sensory Sunday's brought back, but that location and others nationally will be hosting a SPECIAL HALLOWEEN BOOTACULAR on Sunday the 31st of October during early hours. During this conversation we were also advised that the employees working during these hours will receive special training while interacting with special need individuals and families. This was a great success and we can not thank CHUCK E CHEESE enough for letting EVERY KID BE A KID!!
We truly hope that as Sensory Sunday's continue we can establish a following that comes every month and are able to utilize this wonderful facility. In months to come we would like to host fundraisers for other Foundations to give back to the community that so willingly gives to us, i.e. Autism NJ, Autism Radio, Autism Society, etc.
I would also like to utilize funding to provide sensory toys to those that attend as a gift for taking part in a day of fun!
